2014 PACX Season Hits the Midway Point

157625727.xSsuCXSQAfter a pair of races last weekend (Star Rock and the West Chester Cross Classic) the 2014 PACX Series p/b Vie13 has hit the unofficial midway point of the season. The first half of the 11 race series (yes, we turned it up to 11 this year) has been a bit spread out with five races over the past three months. However, as we enter the last half of the series, there’s no time for rest, with the remaining six races taking place in the next five weeks.

Warm temperatures and sunny skies greeted racers at the Cross of the Corn, as the PACX ventured into August for the first time in its history. Round two of the PACX series made its way to another new venue with Rivertown Cross in Wrightsville. Town Hall, traditionally one of the larger PACX races, didn’t disappoint as the warm temperatures and dry ground continued into late September. The traditional double weekend of Star Rock and the West Chester Cross Classic brought cooler temperatures and more cross like weather to the PACX. All in all, it was a great start to the 2014 series.

There is no rest for the weary when it comes to the second half of the series. The last six rounds take place with five consecutive weeks of racing. The action starts with the always popular Crossasaurus Awesome on October 26th. On November 2nd, Stoudts Cross welcomes the 2014 PA State Championships to Adamstown, PA. For the PACX, one brewery is simply not enough, so Sly Fox will host a race on November 9th in Pottstown. Day two of Kutztown Cross on November 16th brings the series back to the Lehigh Valley area for a second time with its semi-traditional MAC/PACX double weekend. Finally, the series concludes with a pair of (semi) new races; Turkey Cross and the PACX Finale p/b WCCX on November 22nd and 23rd.
