2015 Governance Meeting Proposals – The Results!

PA Road BAR

  • Establish a Men’s 2 PA Road BAR competition and award points to each specific category for mixed events (i.e. M3-4) – Did NOT Pass. No recommendations noted

 

PACX Series

  • Align PA State Cross Championships distances and medals for 9-12 year olds with USAC National Championship standards – Tabled for further discussion at PACX governance meeting
  • Restructure PACX JR categories to match MAC Series categories – Tabled for further discussion at PACX governance meeting
  • Waive or set a maximum price of race entry fees for JR’s Passed with Modification: PCA suggests a maximum race entry for Junior PACX series races of $10
  • Restructure the payouts of the PACX Series– Tabled for further discussion at PACX governance meeting
  • Implement chip timing for all PACX races – The proposal did not pass however the PCA board and membership made the following recommendation: PACX committee to review race results posting process and implement a strategy to deliver top X results in a timely manner
  • Add a M60+ category in the PACX series as is in place in the MACPassed

 

PA Track BAR

  • Following proposals refer to the PA Track BAR master’s category:
    • Align Masters category with USAC by changing from 30+ to 35+Passed
    • To encourage older masters riders to race consider pulling out 50+ or 55+ results and score for new PA Track BAR category Passed with Modification: Two masters category races will be implemented for the Masters & Rookies series:
      • 35+ (Cat 1-2-3)
      • 50+ (Cat 3-4)
      • Field minimum of eight (8) for each event required otherwise one event for 35+ (Cat 1-2-3-4)
    • Consider reinstating the 90″ gear restriction for all or at least the Cat 1 & 2 men – Did NOT Pass. No recommendations noted

 

PCA Governance

  • Include a $1 per rider surcharge in PA Road BAR races to provide funds to support USADA drug testing at selected racesPassed with Modification: $1 per rider surcharge for ALL PA Road BAR and PACX series events
