2013 PA JR State Road Championships – Important Information

Many of our junior riders and parents have emailed me concerning the categories and PA BAR points for the various JR State road events. I apologize for any confusion and I hope this email will help clarify the dates, races and categories for the state TT, RR and Criterium for the juniors.

As you know some of these races were not on the race calendar until the past few weeks and while that has been a challenge it has also been a positive as many of our great promoters have stepped up to host the events. I also know many are concerned/discouraged about the potential travel time this weekend with the state TT in Philadelphia and the RR for 10-14 junior men and ladies in western PA. In addition the 15-18 junior men and women’s RR in July overlaps JR road nationals.

I understand the issues and it was hard this year to find venues for the state RR due to the general lack of road races on the calendar. I promise that the 2014 JR state race calendar will be decided earlier in the year and more suited to all competitors.
